The Festive Season at YHA Hartington Hall can be a magical place.
The Hall is filled with decorations, log fires glow and the air is full of the heady scent of mulled wine. There is an atmosphere both calm and tranquil and yet filled with childlike excitement at what each new day might bring. And with ever the chance of snow and a true White Christmas this could be a winter to remember. So come and stay with us at YHA Hartington Hall this year, and have your best Christmas or New Year ever!
The Christmas Package
Arriving Wednesday 24th December for afternoon tea at 3.30pm, departing Saturday 27th December after breakfast.
The New Year Package
Arriving Tuesday 30th December for afternoon tea at 3.30pm, departing Friday 2nd January after breakfast.
Both packages are for 4-days over 3-nights stay. They include breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and evening supper. Packed lunches are not included but can be ordered if required. Additional nights can be booked at standard prices.
The Cost
Adults over 18yrs: £192
12yrs to 18yrs: £149
Under 12s: £115
For single/double/twin bedrooms there is an additional charge of £20 per person

Contact us on 0870 870 5848 or email Hartington@yha.org.uk to check availability. If we can accommodate you, you will be asked for a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of £30 per person to be paid within seven days. The balance will then become due on November 1st.
The Staff
Helping you enjoy the festive season will be William, Clare, and the rest of the staff. We will be distinguishable by our staff uniforms and name badges. Please feel free to approach us at any time.
What to do
Why not try our two favourite walks - free maps available. Maybe try the photo trail or mini-orienteering course in the grounds and board games can be borrowed from reception. There are also a surprising number of visitor attractions open in the area at various times over the Christmas period. Contact us nearer the time for more details.
Opening times
We will be open all day from 7am until midnight. Doors will be locked promptly at 12 to ensure your security and safety. On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve we will be staying open later so that you may attend the Midnight Service at the Church or go first footing if you so wish. During the day we will have fires burning in the Entrance Hall, Library and Inglenook. Staff are on duty during the day. If you need to contact a member of staff during the night there are internal phones for your use. Your bedrooms will be ready for you from 2pm. On your day of departure please ensure that you have vacated your bedroom by 10.30am, although you are welcome to use the rest of the facilities until 2pm.
Food for thought
Breakfast will be served between 7.30 and 9.30 in the Dining Rooms. This will be a hot, buffet style breakfast with lots of choice - so please feel free to have whatever takes your fancy.
Afternoon tea will be offered at around 3.30 - 4.30pm each day from the serving
counter in the Dining Room. We do hope that you will enjoy our mulled wine, cakes, mince pies and fresh tea and coffee.

We do have a drinks license and will be offering an excellent choice of draft beers, reasonably priced organic wines, bottled beers, ciders and soft drinks.
As we have a license and due to licensing legislation it will not be possible for guests to bring in their own alcoholic drinks.
A late supper of cheese and biscuits, tea, coffee and warming hot chocolate will be available from around 10pm each evening in the Dining Room. Packed lunches are not included in the package. If you would like some please order from reception the night before. Please note that this service cannot be guaranteed if requested in the morning.
