Okehampton Discovery Breaks - Kayaking for beginners
YHA Okehampton is a British Canoe Union accredited centre. Whether it is the thrill of white water, exploring stunning rivers or paddling around estuaries and coastal cliffs, this course prepares your skills to enter this stunning sport. We start with the basics and aim at covering at least the 1 star syllabus and maybe more. We will be using local rivers and lakes; all equipment required is supplied (or bring your own) and our transport will take you to the venue.

Okehampton Discovery Breaks - Kayaking for improvers
YHA Okehampton is a British Canoe Union accredited centre. If you’ve done some paddling before and want to develop more skills, then this is the course for you, as it allows you to practice on weirs and move to a grade 2/3 river conditions and hopefully, if conditions allow, paddle the Dart.

Okehampton Discovery Breaks - Canoeing River Trip
YHA Okehampton is a British Canoe Union accredited centre. With so many great touring rivers on our doorstep open canoeing is fast becoming one of our most popular water sports. Full tuition is given, so no previous paddling experience is necessary. This trip allows you to see life from the river with overnight camp at the Turf Locks Public House camp site on the River Exe estuary. Tents and camping equipment supplied.

Canoe Adventures in Devon
Canoe Adventures offer guided canoeing aboard Voyager 12-seat canoes working from Tuckenhay (40 minutes from YHA Salcombe), halfway between Totnes and Dartmouth in the green South Hams along the famous River Dart.
