What sort of volunteers can help?
Volunteers are involved at all levels and in many different ways. If you have specialist skills or just have energy and enthusiasm we’ll find an opportunity that will suit you.

Can I volunteer for a long period of time?
If you are part of a group you may form links with us through specific projects and help in differing ways over a longer period.

Will I be covered by insurance?
Insurance is kept in force to deal with legal liability claims, either by or against volunteers working with the knowledge of and on behalf of YHA, resulting from damage to property or personal injury.

Do you provide travel expenses?
Yes, reasonable expenses will be covered, dependent on your role.

Do you provide training?
Where appropriate training will be provided either by specialists through “on the job” training or on training courses.
